New York Auto Show: 2018 Kia Rio And One-On-One With Kia's Multicultural Manager

"Auto Trends with JeffCars.com" recently caught up with Candelaria Powell, the multicultural manager for Kia, to talk one-on-one about the 2018 restyled Kia Rio.

Availability? Fourth quarter (2017)

Coupe, Sedan or Hatchback? A sedan and a five door hatchback will be available.

Trim packages? LX, S and EX model.

Engine/Powertrain? A manual or an automatic with a 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine that pushes out 130-horsepower is the only powertrain available.

Standout Standard Features? Bluetooth, back up camera and satellite radio!

How is does the 2018 model differ from the model it replaces? The exterior design, which wears the brand's signature tiger nose, is all-new and more expressive. The vehicle's interior is also outfitted with a new more ergonomic interior design too. Overall, the vehicle is slightly larger.

What are the segment exclusives for this subcompact vehicle? The higher end EX trim offers a 7-inch touchscreen and a UVO voice recognition infotainment system compatible with smartphones and Apple Car play.

Pricing? Pricing has not been announced. (The current sedan starts at $15,060, while the hatchback starts at $16,390.)
