The Only Multicultural Automotive Radio Show In The U.S. And Canada Rolls Into A Third Season

As we kick off our third season on the air, here are the breakout shows we have scheduled for the month.

Friday, September 15

We will open the season with Mark Boyadjis, an IHS Markit tech analyst, sharing the latest futuristic technological advances coming to a vehicle near you. We will talk about everything from the world’s first sensor-activated vehicle wristband that allows one to ditch their car keys to in-vehicle night cameras that provide virtual road lines to enhance one’s eyesight.

Then, Dave Sargent, who is J. D. Power’s vice president of global research, will wrap up the show, talking about the latest results from the 2017 ninety-day initial quality study based on consumer surveys.

Friday, September 22

And, for the first time, we will switch gears to honor Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. The ground-breaking show will be co-hosted by two Black men whom were cured of this silent disease, before the age of 50. The hosts will share the cross-country bond they formed to fight this disease, while also bringing a youthful and more realistic perspective, as it relates to the controversial and misguided screening guidelines advocated by the medical community. Ironically, the average age for men to be impacted by this disease is 67. Unfortunately, one out of five Black men will be affected by this disease, during their lifetime. This group is jolted by this disease at a higher rate than any other demographic.

Friday, September 29

We’ll also talk to two of the multicultural marketing pioneers behind one of the carmakers going all in during the 90s, courting gay consumers. This automaker was the first to hire a gay boutique advertising firm. In a fascinating conversation, we’ll explore the risks, rewards and backlash the automaker received in being one of the first in the industry to make a financial investment in mixing sexual orientation with selling vehicles.

The weekly show can be heard on SiriusXM Channel 141 on Fridays at 12 pm ET. Encore broadcasts will occur every Sunday and Monday at 8:00 p.m. ET and 1:30 p.m. ET, respectively.
